Many times in the past, I would book a place and come to find out that things were just "not" as advertised! However, this home in Estes Park was exactly what we had hoped for. From the first interaction with the owners (Bob and Carole), to the last time I saw them the night before we left, this was a class act service.
Our party consisted of 2 families with 8 children ranging in age from 11 to 5 weeks old. The owners made sure to have everything we needed for the younger kids including pack-n-plays, high chairs, and an incredible "kids cave" downstairs. With a 3D TV, Xbox (with games), Pinball games, hot tub, shuffle board, and more...the adults went hours without seeing the kids because they had so much to do.
But more importantly, Bob and Carole truly cared about "our experience" and this was evident with hands-on service. They allowed us to borrow 2 sleds which we used at Hidden Valley, Bob got the Gas Grill working (because I am not a handy-man), and they even gave each family a Christmas Present under one of the incredible trees they put up in the house.
Again, above and beyond is all I can say!

My (now) husband and I rented the lodge as a place for our families and attendants to stay during our wedding. I stayed also so I could be closer to my family and friends. We LOVED this place. The property is beautiful - we actually had our photographer do some pictures for us there. There is a nice playground for children (my nephew and the other children loved it) and lots of space for them to play and explore or walk by the river (with supervision, obviously).
The bedroom on the main floor is fully accessible - that came in handy as my sister was hit by a car a week before the wedding and was on crutches. There is a large kitchen, dining room and living room on the main floor that is a great place to spend time together as a group. We really enjoyed working with Bob and Carole. They answered all our questions, and showed us the place since we live in the area. When we arrived, everything was clean and ready just like they said it would be. It is a short walk to town - 7-10 minutes depending on how fast you walk. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for several families or people to be close but have some privacy.

The choice of this upscale facility for our three-day family reunion was perfect. It is luxurious and well equipped, in a beautiful setting. The owners were most accommodating and friendly. We were very pleased in every way.

My family of 16 stayed here for a family reunion. It was perfect! The house has everything including thoughtful kitchen staples, a hot tub, fireplaces and game rooms .Both the house and grounds were spotlessly clean. It is furnished with interesting and beautiful antiques and had enough space for everyone. There are 3 dining rooms, 2 kitchens, and 2 living room areas. The downstairs living area was perfect for our young grandson to play and had a separate entertainment set-up for movies and music. A river runs just outside the house and there is a lovely path with outside patios and fire pit. It was so nice to hear the river running with the windows open. The house is well located just outside of town within walking distance to the main shopping area, restaurants and grocery store. The owners are lovely people who were always available to help but never interfered and promptly returned my damage deposit. Stay here, you will be amazed at the beauty of the house and the property!

The pictures of the place are nice. We walked into the house and couldn't believe it. The house was actually better than the pictures. We vacationed with 2 of my children and their family - 12 in all. Each family had their own floor but got to be together when ever they wanted. The owners are the landlords and live in an adjacent apt. They are extremely nice, helpful and non intrusive. I highly recommend the house for anyone and any size group.

Our family, 25 of us, held our reunion at the property and it far exceeded our expectations!!! The home was set off the road (great for privacy), had a jungle gym in the expansive front yard and was beautifully decorated. The stream in the backyard made for an idyllic setting, there was even a gas powered fire ring complete with table and chairs nestled there. The owners, who live onsite, were very helpful, answered our questions and had a booster seat and a humidifier that we needed for the grandchildren. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials to cook with and even had some spices and items in the fridge that were available to us as well. We enjoyed the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park that was nearby. We had family pictures taken inside the park, hiked to a waterfall and enjoyed the amazing scenery. We enjoyed walking through Estes Park and checking out all the great shops along the main street. Everyone, especially the grandkids, enjoyed the Fun City trip we did one afternoon – mini golf, bumper boats, bumper cars, a giant slide and more! I can’t recommend this property highly enough! It is even more stunning that the pictures on the website can show. It was wonderfully maintained, lovingly cared for and I felt right at home!

Renting this "mansion" to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family of 12 in this home with its beautiful and wonderful amenities in a perfect setting was an experience to never forget. We couldn't ask for better and more accomodating hosts. Their home was a joy to behold. It's setting 3 minutes from the heart of Estes Park but yet quitely and snuggly set between the mountain peaks with the Big Thompson creek type river running only a few feet away was a pleasure to be within. We will be back as soon as possible.

Gorgeous house on a perfect location

We had a wonderful time here with 12 of our immediate family (plus us = 14). We had our small wedding down by the river on a nice little area they've made up for special occasions. The house is far enough out of town to have peace and quiet (and the neighbors enjoy their peace and quiet, too) but it's only a couple minute drive to downtown shopping. Bob and Carol were very easy to get along with and were very flexible and attentive to our needs. They've done a wonderful job renovating the place. This place is FULLY stocked. They have all the dishes, glasses, plates, etc. Salt, pepper, silverware, two ovens, dishwasher(s), refrigerator(s), microwaves, towels in all the rooms that need towels, blender, toaster, double Belgian waffle maker, board games, TV with Bose system upstairs, TV with surround system downstairs. WiFi internet. It's all there!!
The hot tub was very nice. It's got tons of settings and even a guest-accessible temperature control (takes a couple hours to get to your setting, but it gets really hot). I think we had it up to like 110 one night. Too hot! But that shows you the range it can go. It's even got a couple jets that go up and down for a lower back massage. Shuffle board and ping pong are always entertaining, as well. The bedrooms were very well put together and nobody in our family ever complained about the lack of towels or toiletries, or having an uncomfortable bed (Bob did say we were the first to sleep in some of these beds, so we might have an advantage). All high quality bedding, accessories and toiletries. We did not get to light up the gas fireplace down by the river due to a fire ban, but it looked like it would've been a really nice place to spend some time.
The dining room and adjoining serving room were perfect for our reception to serve cake and punch. I don't think it could've been a better setup. We even got evacuated by the Sheriff's department because of a local fire for a couple hours. Bob was very responsive in communication and offered to search for a room for us for the night if the evacuation wasn't lifted. He communicated with us several times while we were in town goofing off about the status of the fire and evacuation. That was very helpful in decision making. Bob turned an otherwise vacation-spoiling event into a minor inconvenience. Thank you, Bob & Carol, for an unforgettable wedding weekend. Your house is amazing and I hope future vacationers appreciate it as much as we did.
